Young Infant Room~

The young infant classroom is designed to care for infants ranging from 6 weeks on up until they become mobile. This allows the parents, teachers, and administration the opportunity to transition children when they are developmentally ready for the next classroom.

  • Each child is provided his/her own crib, sheet, blanket, and cubbie.
  • Teachers sing songs and read stories to encourage language acquisition, and they pass balls and play games to develop motor skills.
  • Teachers spend quality time cuddling and talking to babies to instill trust and to provide a healthy learning environment.
  • Teacher’s keep individual schedules for each baby so that their diaper changes, feedings, and nap times are personalized for the infant’s needs.
  • Basic American Sign Language is introduced in the Infant and Toddler rooms. Infants learn to express their thoughts and needs without regard to their language ability.
  • Infants love to move and explore and we appreciate this curiosity. Swings and play seats are used minimally.
We give each child the opportunity to spend time in all areas of our infant Room.
  • Our low teacher to infant ratio allows teachers to spend more time caring for your child.
  • Regular communication between teachers and parents to keep you informed about your child’s day.
